Cuyahoga County outlines plan to consolidate 911 services

CLEVELAND - When you place a call to 911 in Cuyahoga County, it’s answered at one of 45 different locations or Public Safety Answering Points. The national suggested average for a county the size of Cuyahoga is five to 10 Public Safety Answering Points, or PSAPs. The state suggested average is four. County leaders gathered Monday to unveil their plans to meet that state number of four within 10 years.
